We are looking for a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented Financial Controller to scale accounting operations! Collaborating closely with our EMEA controller and the Finance team at Learneo, our global parent company, you’ll have a unique chance to contribute to post-M&A accounting onboarding processes.

Your mission

We are looking for a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented Financial Controller to add to our rapidly growing Finance team to support at the corporate level. Collaborating closely with our EMEA controller and the Finance team at Learneo, our global parent company, you’ll have a unique chance to contribute to post-M&A accounting onboarding processes. Learneo’s active presence in the M&A market means you will be involved in future M&A projects and designing, implementing, and improving these crucial procedures.

As part of a small team, you will have the autonomy to make an impact on the growth of Learneo in the EMEA region, and you'll have an exceptional opportunity to leave a lasting impact. This is an exciting new role for an experienced finance professional who not only wants to work with numbers, but also wishes to add value to the operating companies you’ll work with.

Here are some ways you'll make an impact:

  • Manage all daily operations for Scribbr accounting, including our A/P and expense platform, procedures, corporate card management, and reimbursements for our team members
  • Efficiently manage the monthly close process for Scribbr and our EMEA subsidiaries: ensure all monthly financial transactions are properly recorded, review/approve journal entries and account reconciliations and communicate results
  • Support with the preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting packages to management and other periodic reporting as needed
  • Make sure Scribbr is audit proof. Build toward a best-in-class internal control environment at scale and maintain process documentation
  • Design accounting guidelines for companies in the EMEA region, driving financial excellence across the region
  • Taking ownership of cross-border accounting processes and implementing structured frameworks
  • Assist in the design and implementation of post-M&A accounting onboarding guidelines and processes. 

Are you our Financial Controller?

  • 7+ years working experience, 4+ years in an accounting role
    • Worked within & scaled the Financial Control function at a high-growth company
    • Experience with multiple ERP and accounting systems: scaling, day to day use, implementation, and optimizing new processes. 
  • You demonstrate our values of Grit & Collaboration

  • Command of both the English and Dutch languages, both written and spoken.
