Today, our team of more than 800 editors, citation and layout experts worldwide provides proofreading and editing in 10 different languages to help students achieve their academic goals.

Combining years of experience in academic writing with technical know-how, we have successfully expanded our service portfolio by electronic tools like the Plagiarism Checker, Citation Generator, Citation Checker and a public Knowledge Base, which is used by millions of students and educators every year.

About the job

You will join a new, to be formed multidisciplinary product team dedicated to launching a worldwide subscription service. This service offers students access to a curated set of technical study tools, and a global community of academic experts standing ready to provide whatever help students might need.

We will start by taking the way we help students to the next level and introduce a fully personalized Expert Q&A service as part of our subscription package. You will take full ownership over the operational side of this service and all other services we will introduce within this future subscription package.

You will work together with internal stakeholders to roll out and manage a process that keeps both the customers and experts of the service 100% happy. Furthermore, you will actively pursue strategic business objectives and make sure our organisational processes and capacity enable these objectives.


  • (Co-)creating and rolling out a new international subscription service with a strong operational process
  • Build, lead and motivate an international team of freelance academic experts who are working on the subscription service
  • Work together with a cross-functional (multi-lingual) support team to streamline customer support for the subscription service
  • Make sure the operational processes behind the service are capable of supporting our business needs and growth
  • Develop, introduce and maintain quality management protocols
  • Work closely together with the Product Manager to shape new technical features that will help us either deliver a better experience to the students and experts, or improve our operational efficiency

About you

  • 5+ years of proven experience in a project- and/or operations management (or related) position
  • Completed a bachelor’s degree
  • Can-do attitude and willingness to take ownership over creating and delivering the best possible service
  • Strong business mindset and always seeking for opportunities to improve
  • Refined written and verbal communication skills in English (Dutch or German is a plus)
  • You are comfortable working in a fun, fast-paced environment
  • Experience with agile workflows such as Scrum is a plus
