Your mission

At Scribbr, we are scaling and professionalising our engineering department and engineering culture. We are making our software more maintainable and moving our entire infrastructure to a scalable cloud solution. However, we are still manually deploying and testing our code in a staging environment.

As a Senior QA engineer, you will help us create a better CI/CD flow with automated tests and processes. Improve the test suites we already have, and introduce new and better ones.

With your help, we can become an even more performant engineering department. Increasing our time to production and efficiency, and building amazing things together!

Your main responsibilities as a Senior QA engineer are:

• Ensuring stable and frequent releases
• Improving the quality of our software by automating test suites
• Driving the testing culture among fellow engineers

Our back-end tech stack: PHP 7.2, Symfony 4/5, Doctrine, MySQL 8, Redis, RabbitMQ, PHPUnit.

Our front-end tech stack: Vue.js, Storybook, JS, Twig, HTML and CSS

Other tech & tools: AWS, JSON:API, Postman, Docker, GitHub, CircleCi, Sentry, Scrutinizer, Cypress

What are we looking for?

• 4+ years of experience in automated and manual testing
• You have experience building fully featured automated test suites using industry standard tooling
• You know your way around command line tools
  
• You understand test scripting at all levels (unit, component, integration, E2E)

• You have experience implementing testing pipelines in CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Circle CI
  

• Eager to learn from others, keep up with rapid changes in the tech world and grow professionally
• Good communicator, team player

You can work 100% remotely or from our HQ in Amsterdam, where you will have the flexibility to work from home as well. If you want to work 100% remotely, you need to be in or close to the Central European Time Zone to ensure easy collaboration with team members.
